SHIPPING POLICY

We keep this simple: free shipping, real tracking, real humans if anything 
goes sideways.


WHERE WE SHIP

Misthaus currently ships to the United States only — all 50 states, plus DC, 
Puerto Rico, and most APO/FPO addresses. We do not ship internationally at 
this time. If you're outside the US, join the waitlist on our contact page 
and we'll email when we open new regions.


SHIPPING COST

Free standard shipping on every US order. No minimum, no threshold, no 
"upgrade to qualify." If your cart shows a shipping fee at checkout, email 
us — that's a glitch and we'll fix it.


PROCESSING TIME

Orders are processed and handed to the carrier within 1–3 business days of 
placement. Orders placed Friday after 2:00 PM MT, Saturday, or Sunday begin 
processing the following Monday. Holiday weekends may add 1 business day.


TRANSIT TIME

US Domestic: 8–14 business days from shipment via CJPacket tracked delivery.

We're transparent about this: Misthaus ships from a fulfillment partner that 
handles careful packaging for the glass terrarium base and electronics. The 
trade-off is a delivery window slightly longer than next-day Amazon. For 
most customers, the order arrives in 9–11 business days.

Total time from order to doorstep: typically 10–17 business days 
(processing + transit).


TRACKING

You'll receive a tracking number by email within 24 hours of your order 
shipping. Tracking updates may take 2–4 days to appear in the carrier system 
after shipment — this is normal and does not mean your package is lost.

You can track your order at any time using the link in your shipping 
confirmation email.


LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

Once a package is in the carrier's possession, the carrier is responsible 
for safe delivery. If your tracking shows "delivered" but you haven't 
received the package:

  1. Check with neighbors and any building management
  2. Wait 24 hours — packages occasionally show "delivered" before the 
     actual drop
  3. If still missing, file a claim with the carrier directly
  4. Email support@misthaus.com — we will help facilitate the claim

If a verifiably lost package never reached you, we will reship at no cost 
once the carrier claim is approved.

Stolen packages confirmed delivered must be reported to the carrier and 
your local police within 7 days of the delivery date for us to assist with 
a replacement.


ADDRESS CHANGES

We can only modify your shipping address if you email support@misthaus.com 
within 60 minutes of placing your order. After that window, the order is 
locked into our fulfillment queue and address changes are not possible.

Please double-check your shipping address before checkout. Orders shipped 
to incorrect addresses provided by the buyer are not eligible for refund or 
replacement.


PACKAGE DAMAGE ON ARRIVAL

If your Misthaus arrives damaged — broken glass, cracked housing, water 
leak, anything — email support@misthaus.com within 48 hours of delivery 
with photos. We will send a free replacement, no return required for the 
damaged unit.


RETURNS

If you want to return an undamaged Misthaus, see our 30-day return policy 
on the Refund Policy page. The short version: return it within 30 days for 
a full refund.
